Thank you for visiting First Baptist Church of Black River. We are a historic Baptist church in the Fort Drum and Watertown area that seeks to honor the Lord Jesus Christ by loving God, growing together, and serving others!!

We believe our Church should be –

· Bible believing and Bible preaching. God’s Word provides the answers for walking with God and with man.

· Carrying out the Great Commission, given by the Lord Jesus Christ, to tell of His death, burial and resurrection in payment for our sins.

· Providing Biblical teaching to both children and adults through Sunday School as well as preaching services.

· Fundamental: preaching and practicing the fundamentals of the faith.

· Committed to using Bible-based music. Music with a clear Bible message.

· Continually seeking to meet the social and spiritual needs of people in our area.

· Caring about our neighbors. Helping in both spiritual and practical ways where needs are made known.

· Caring about individuals, couples, families and children. Building each up and strengthening interpersonal ties.

· Encouraging individuals to maintain personal and family devotions.

· Praying for each other, our families, our military personnel, our government officials, and our fellow man.

· Independent, self-governing and self-supporting
